I meant to write this last night but was too tired and just went to bed but Logan turned one yesterday!! We can’t believe it’s been one whole year since Logan came to be with us and neither of us remember life very well without him. He and Lindsay have become so close and they love each other so much. I absolutely love that they have fun together because for about the first 4 months of Logan’s life Lindsay didn’t really know what to do with him. She loved him but just didn’t really know why. My favorite part of the day is when they are playing together and making each other laugh.

Logan is a sweetheart and a charmer to all of the ladies. He has a smile that just melts your heart and a face that is just adorable. He is a very active little boy and keeps us on our toes. When Lindsay was a baby if I was REALLY tired I could just lay down on the couch while she watched a Baby Einstein movie and I could take a nap because I knew she wouldn’t get into anything. Logan is very different! He won’t sit still long enough to watch a 25 minute video AND I never know what he’s going to get into. He is such a busy body. His birthday brought along some firsts for Logan such as that he signed ‘more’ for the first time during church and that he played catch with a little neighbor girl who is about 9 days younger than him. It was too cute! They just sat down next to each other like they knew what they were doing and then they just started ‘throwing’ the ball to each other while making cute little baby babbles as if they were having a conversation with each other. Logan wore shoes for the first time also and he had a hard time walking with them on.

We had a little party for him on March 1st with some friends of ours who know Logan the best. We had a Happy Birthday sign and lots and lots of balloons. While I was blowing up the balloons I heard this noise and so I stopped to listen and it was coming from Logan. He was imitating the noise I was making when blowing up the balloons! It was cute. He loved the balloons and was trying to grab them by the knot but he just couldn’t get the balloon to hold still. We had pizza for his party and he absolutely loved it! He loved it so much that he was just shoving into his mouth which caused him to choke, but while he was choking he was still shoving another piece into his mouth! He just couldn’t eat it fast enough! After that we opened some presents and he just really wasn’t interested. He didn’t really care about opening them but he liked what it was after the paper was off. I was really excited to give him his cake to see what he would do with it. We sang happy birthday to him and he smiled all the way through it and then when it was time to dig in he just didn’t know what to do. Then at first he started to just pick off the sprinkles and tiny bits of frosting and then Jeffy pushed Logan’s hand through it and that’s when he went nuts. He just didn’t know there was more to it! He ate about half of this little cake and then he was done. He was so messy but so cute!

We love Logan so much and last night as Lindsay and Logan were giving each other a hug before bed, Lindsay out of the blue said so sweetly, Happy Birthday Logan, and then gave him another kiss. It was so fun to see her so excited about his birthday and now she knows that he’s one. Happy Birthday Logan! We love you Bubs!!!
