Yesterday during conference, Lindsay overheard someone say ‘testimony’ and so she turned to me and asked, “Mommy, what’s a testimony?” And before I could get halfway through my very short explanation she asked, “Can I have some more cheese?” That had to have been the shortest teaching moment ever!!!
Lindsay has started rhyming words and yesterday out of nowhere she said, “Chocolate and Ocolate rhyme!” And that’s how she rhyme’s words. She’ll either leave the first letter out or substitute another letter and sometimes she’ll actually get two words that rhyme, like ‘funny’ and ‘bunny’. It’s pretty entertaining.
Yesterday I discovered a new trick that Logan can do. He LOVES to talk on the phone and we haven’t been able to find one of our phones for about a week and we just figured he had hid it somewhere because he likes to hide things, but we were also scared he had thrown it away. But Jeffy finally found it last night and it wasn’t anywhere he could have put it so I must have hidden it without even realizing it. ANYWAY, when he doesn’t have a phone in his hand and you say, “say hello!” he’ll just immediately put his hand to his ear. Every time! It’s so cute because he almost looks like he can’t control it. Funny kids.
One other thing…one of our rules is that Lindsay cannot come out of her room in the morning until there is a seven on her clock and she knows this and usually follows it. But this morning she came into our room at 6:30 and when Jeffy told her to go back to her room until there was a seven she asked him, “Daddy, do you wanna come watch the numbers on the clock change with me?” Of course he said no, but he did get a good laugh out of it. She’s so cute!
