Today was a day we did something new and different. We were playing outside and just hanging out when we decided that we’d go for a little walk to see if there were any friends playing outside. We were walking towards the Stock’s house and Lindsay asked if she could go say hi to Emily. I told her I thought she was at preschool but that we could stay and talk for a few minutes before lunch. Anyway, Emily was at preschool so we stayed and talked with Katie for a few minutes and then it was time to pick up Emily from preschool so we walked with her down the street to get her. Lindsay was walking with Katie and she came running back to me and asked if she could walk across the street to go get Emily and I said sure. They picked her up and came back and when I saw them they were holding hands and being so girly and cute. Then out of nowhere Lindsay asked if she could go over to Emily’s house to play. She seemed like such a grown up girl asking me to go play at a friends house. I really didn’t expect that question at the young age of three! Jeff wasn’t home and Logan needed to take his nap so I wasn’t sure what to do. Katie then offered to feed her lunch and said she could come over and play. I said okay and off she went. She didn’t give me a hug or anything! Anyway, I got some well needed cleaning done while Logan took his nap and then after that I actually laid down on the couch myself for about 45 minutes and got some rest. I felt guilty the whole time though, thinking about Katie over there with two wild girls. Then Logan woke up and I put him in the stroller to go get Lindsay so that I could go to my VTing appointments but when I got to Katie’s house she did NOT want to leave! So Katie offered to watch her while I did my VTing and so off I went. Katie said that Lindsay is the most well behaved, polite little girl, that having her over is really easy so that did help me to relax a little bit. So, after my VTing I went to pick her up and again she did NOT want to leave and she cried the whole way home! She was there for 5 hours! She did have a LOT of fun and looks forward to the next time she can play with Emily. She calls her little Emily so as not to confuse her with Emily (a.k.a. Playgroup). Pretty cute. So, little Emily is going to come over on Thursday to play and Lindsay cannot wait!
