I was just checking our checking account online to make sure our mortgage payment and tithing check had both gone through, and at first I thought the hadn’t, because the balance in the checking account seemed to be about the same as it was the other day. But when I clicked on the details, I saw that both payments had, in fact, gone through. So why was the balance so high? Because our Economic Stimulus payment has been direct deposited! I’m sure there’s probably some political reason that I should think the Economic Stimulus package is a bad idea, but let me let you in on a secret: I will NEVER think something is a bad idea if it gives me $1800 for no reason. So hooray for free money!

1Woo hoo!
According to the schedule, Chris won’t get his until July. He didn’t have his refund direct deposited, and the last two numbers of his SS# are 99. Chances are he’ll be glad to get it then, too, though.
