The time has finally come to get rid of Logan’s binkie and I’m proud to say that we’ve done it! We knew we wanted to wait until after Cancun to make this big transition (because for real, who wants to take a 4 1/2 hour airplane ride without a binkie?) and so the day after we got back it began. At first we were just going to let him have it while he slept but that first night Jeff and I went out on a date and Grandma put the kids to bed. She left the binkie downstairs and didn’t feel like getting it and so she laid Logan down without and he fell right asleep! He did wake up a few times crying so she went in there and held him but then he went right back to sleep. And he’s been doing great since! It just seems too easy and I keep waiting for something to happen to set us back but maybe we’ve really made it! I almost started crying yesterday though because I felt bad that we never let him officially say goodbye to his binkie. I mean, it’s been a constant companion since he was about 3 months old and he’s depended on it so much. Am I crazy? As Jeffy put it, “We have pictures.” Good-bye Binkie! Thanks for all the help!
