We blew up the giraffe pool again today and the kids went swimming and had a blast! I’m glad they like the pool so much because as a parent you always worry whether or not your kids will like what you get them. We were out there for about an hour and half in the hot summer sun swimming and spraying them with the hose and we just loved it! My visiting teachers came over this morning after our 45-50 minute walk/bike ride and they were telling me that they see me outside ALL THE TIME! They weren’t saying that in a bad way or anything, just that they do seem to see me out with the kids doing something all of the time. I told them I HATE being inside so if we can go outside we do. I’ve learned to like/almost love the heat (and I think Cancun has a lot to do with that because nothing is hotter than Mexico) and so we’re outside as much as we can be. I’m glad that I can do that for my kids so that they can experience the world. Being inside is so boring and so small but being outside is just so open and wonderful. And the area we live in is so beautiful, minus the weeds, and we just love seeing and talking with all of our friends and neighbors outside. It’s wonderful.
