Lindsay is starting preschool next week and this morning we went and met her teacher and saw her classroom. It’s a lady in a different part of the city center and she’s just doing it out of her garage. I had contemplated starting Lindsay in preschool this year just because if I did, she would have to go for two years since she’ll miss the deadline next year for Kindergarten, and I just want her to enjoy being a kid because soon enough she’ll be in school year after year. So, then I got this lady’s flier on our door and she was offering a 3-4 year old class, once a week, for two hours. I thought, hey, that’s perfect! Not too long and not too often. It would give Lindsay a chance to socialize more with kids her age and still give her plenty of time to be a kid. She had an open house while we were in Arizona so I called her when we got back to see if we could come meet her some time this week. She’s taught Kindergarten before and really loves kids. She has a nice setup going on with lots of toys, books, crafty things and a ‘playground’ outside with a swing set and a trampoline in the ground. When Lindsay saw the trampoline she sat down and took her shoes off and started jumping. She’s going to love it! I’m excited for her and I’m excited to see how she does. She starts next Thursday.

On a different note, some of you know this, but Jeffy and I have changed our eating habits and are getting ourselves healthier. This started mostly as an effort to get Jeffy healthier but I needed it as well so we buckled down and are doing it together. We’re both more conscience about what we eat, when we eat and how much we eat. It has been an incredible journey so far and we’ve both learned a lot about ourselves along the way. In some ways it has been SO HARD because we both love our sweets! Neither of us had any control before. If we wanted ice cream, off to the store we’d go. But now we make a real effort to choose not to do that. But in other ways it’s been so easy. We’re amazed at how easy it can be to eat healthy. It does take a little more time to plan and prepare but it also makes it worth it. As of this morning, Jeffy has lost over 20 pounds and I have lost 12 pounds! I write this not to brag but to show you and tell you how hard we are working and also how proud we are of each other. Thanks for reading!
