So, I’m happy to report that I am feeling the best I’ve felt in two months!! It’s been fantastic to feel normal again. I do still get tired in the afternoon but I’ve been tired in the afternoon for like 4 years so that’s nothing new. The only last effect of the pneumonia is that I get these headache type things and get really dizzy and lightheaded at least once a day. So, other than that I’m feeling great. Logan is feeling great too and is keeping me busy with his fits and time outs. But Lindsay and Jeffy have seen better days.
Lindsay came in our room this morning crying and complaining that her ear hurt. Jeffy just thought she had slept on it wrong and left it alone and had her come and lay with him. A few minutes later she started crying again saying it still hurt. Okay, so maybe she’s serious. Once we went downstairs to have some breakfast she just wanted to lay down because she’s was so tired. She said it hurt when she coughed and that her neck and her head hurt. Okay, time to call the doctor. I was mostly worried that she had developed pneumonia herself and I was not going to let it fester any longer if that was the case. The doctor looked in her ears and said she had a double ear infection. WHAT? I did not expect that. He listened to her chest and didn’t hear any pneumonia in there but he said that if she does have it the antibiotics will help get rid of that as well as the ear infection. Neither of my kids have ever had ear infections before and so this is all new to me. I was nervous that she would be in a lot of pain and that’s horrible to watch, but once we got back home and gave her a dose of the antibiotics and some Ibu she seemed to be just fine. So, hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Jeffy has come down with another sinus infection. His second one in 6 weeks! Is that even possible? So, instead of taking the time and paying the money to see a doctor, he just called his friend who is a PA and asked if he could call him in a prescription so he went and picked it up tonight so hopefully he’ll get to feeling better quickly. So three out of four of us have been on antibiotics in the last 2 weeks. Hopefully, Logan will stay strong and healthy and miss out on all of this fun.

As we’ve mentioned before, Logan is talking more and more and it’s a lot of fun! He said his first sentence today which was,
“I don’t want to go night-night.”
Does that tell you anything about his personality? We were excited all the same.

Yesterday morning I was watching the news and they were showing pictures of the destruction caused by Hurricane Ike and Lindsay asked me what it was. I explained to her what a hurricane was and how it caused all the houses and streets and cars to be under water and that nobody could go home for awhile. This was her response:
“Maybe a fairy godmother could go there and make all the water disappear and make the streets be again, the houses be again and the cars be again. That would work!”
We adults make everything so complicated! Anyone know where to find one of those fairy godmothers?

I know we’ve already posted some things about New York, but here is the first half of our official rundown of our vacation. Consider yourself trapped in our living room watching our boring slideshow, because you’re stuck here, and if you don’t read the whole thing, WE’LL KNOW!
Simply put, the trip was awesome. It was only a little over two days, but they were packed, so I will split it into two posts, along with pictures. I had never been to New York, and Bethy hadn’t been there since she was a kid, so it was a great experience. I didn’t know what to expect, but I must have had somewhat low expectations, because it took me by surprise how much I absolutely loved the city.
