On Monday for FHE, we taught the kids, mostly Lindsay because Logan wouldn’t sit still, about Joseph Smith and the First Vision. When I was in Cub Scouts, for one of our den meetings, we made FHE packets and so I finally got around to actually using it. Jeff was explaining the story to Lindsay and he was at the part when Joseph Smith didn’t know which church to join and he asked Lindsay, What can we do when we don’t know what to do? And Lindsay yelled out, “MAP!!” For all of you who have kids that watch Dora, you know what I’m talking about. In Dora, when they don’t know which way to go, they ask the map and he shows them the way.

Jeff and I just busted up and thought it was so cute that she would relate the two together. Jeff somehow tied the map and prayer together and made it work but it was really funny! The day before Lindsay and I had read a book about Moroni and how he took care of the golden plates and how he helped Joseph Smith find them and so the next night she remembered all of that and it was neat to see her put two and two together.

Logan’s favorite part of FHE are the songs we sing. He just loves them and his new favorite one is “Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam.” The first time we sang it, he would jump and land on his tushie, like he was on a trampoline, and just giggle! It was so cute!! So, I ran to get the video camera but of course, he did it once and then never did it again, but in this video you can see how much fun he has. Lindsay was laughing really hard too watching him jump like that. Good times.

Lindsay has been wanting to go to the library lately and so we finally went this morning. I usually try to avoid taking Logan because he’s louder and more destructive then they probably want in the library. Lindsay and I usually go when he’s sleeping and Jeffy is home, but since Jeffy is at the office today, I decided I would just do it and take him. So, Lindsay rode her bike all the way there, and Logan and I walked with the stroller. Once we got there, Logan actually did really well. He sat down and read a book for about 30 seconds and then he was done, which is more than I thought he would do. The rest of the time he played with the buckle in the stroller while Lindsay and I read books. Then we picked some books to take home and we rode back home. But while we were there, Logan was kind of wandering around and he ended up in the bigger people book section and came back with this book:

So, it really does start young, doesn’t it? A chick with a short skirt and high heels on with pretty legs. And he came back with the book with this clever little smile on, which I knew he had no idea what the cover meant, but his face said it all! Then he sat down and pretended to read it and then threw it on the ground. Too funny!
