Jeff, Beth, Lindsay, Logan, and Ryan Snider

The last couple of days I’ve realized that Logan is exposed to a lot of girly things, not because that’s all we have, but because he has an older sister who he adores and wants to do everything she does. For example:

What am I supposed to do when Lindsay wants to play dress-ups and all we have are princess stuff and Logan wants to dress up too? Tell him no? Some of you may think I should have said no, but he was too excited about it for me to stop him. So after A LOT of mind changing he finally decided on the Belle dress and he of course wanted a tiara just like Lindsay. CLICK. Have to take a picture. Lindsay thought it was fun that he was dressing up with him and they went to the ball together to dance with the prince.

The best part of the day was when Jeffy got home and Logan put on his crown and said, “Daddy look! I a pretty princess!” Jeff didn’t know what to say but then laughed because he was just too cute.
I love how Lindsay’s dress is so big on her that it hangs like halfway down her torso. It’s a good thing she doesn’t wear it alone and out in public!
I did make a note on my grocery list to buy some ‘boy dress-ups’. We’ll see what I can find.

I love funny things. I love random things. I love things that don’t make sense. A couple of weeks ago, Jeff and I drove up to Salt Lake to attend a wedding reception for one of his co-workers and on the way there we passed a church that was called, “The Second Church of Christ.” Excuse me? The SECOND Church of Christ? Were you not good enough to be the First Church of Christ? Seriously.

RSV has reared it’s ugly head again at our house and poor little Logan is super sick. He’s been congested and has had a cough since Saturday night and he has progressively gotten worse as the days go by. He hasn’t been sleeping well which has meant that I’ve ended up on the futon with him on the floor of his bedroom and last night was scary. As I was laying there trying to get some sleep, I heard it. That horrible rattling and wheezing sound every time he breathed. I’ve only ever heard that noise once before and that was when Lindsay was 4 months old and ironically, I was sleeping on a futon at my in-laws house. I was there by myself with Lindsay visiting and I just remember panicking and calling Jeffy at like 2 in the morning wondering what I should do. We soon learned that she had RSV and at 4 months old that was very scary. So, here we are again and I have to be honest, I’m a little shocked that he has RSV because I thought that by the time you were his age, it wouldn’t affect you in the same way it would if you were a baby. But I’ve learned that anything and everything can surprise you. After listening to him for about a half an hour I called Jeff and told him I thought we needed to take him to the ER but after much thought, we came to the decision that we’d wait until the morning and take him to his pediatrician whom we trust and know would give him the care and attention he needed. I dropped Lindsay off at Emily’s house (because I didn’t want to expose her to anymore germs!) and off we went. I could hear him wheezing all the way there and knew that it had to be RSV. The doctor listened and sure enough it was. And to add to his discomfort, he also has an ear infection. So, we did an albuterol treatment with the nebulizer there in the office and it actually helped quite a bit. He sounded a little better and he was such a good boy and sat very still for the whole treatment. There is something to be said about Primary songs and the way they calm children because I just sang song after song and he was so still. We left with a prescription for an antibiotic and an inhaler of albuterol to help him get better. I cried on the way home because I was just so sad for him. He sounds terrible and I know it hurts because after he coughs he says “Owie!” and last night he kept saying “Help me!” I wish I could do more to keep my kids safe and healthy but I also know it’s good for them to get sick. This winter has been a hard one for the kids, mostly Logan who has been sick for most of the past two months, and therefore a long one for me. Our doctor did say that second children almost always are more sick than the first and that usually the first two winters of their lives are the worst. So, here’s hoping that next winter won’t be too terrible, otherwise, Hawaii here we come! I’m grateful for the wonderful friends I have who are so willing to help all of the time and drop whatever they are doing to help me. It sure does make it easier to get through it. So, please keep Logan in your prayers that he will get better quickly.

Logan just loves the broom and every time I get it out to use it, he says, “My turn!” So, after I get the floor swept Logan has a go at it. He’s so cute and is always so willing to help.

We had a little get together last night with our good friends the Poulsons and the Martins’. We were celebrating Spencer’s birthday which was last Sunday and we did so with a yummy lasagna dinner, games and dessert. We adults love hanging out together, but what makes it even more fun is that our kids all get along so well. Here’s a picture of the little munchkins!

Isn’t little Lia so cute in her Bumbo?

This is what we did last night:

(This is one of the reasons why Lindsay is in gymnastics because she loves to do crazy things like this!)

Jeffy’s so strong!! He was pretty tired by the end but it was a lot of fun!

This is what Lindsay looked like when Jeff went to check on the kids the other night:

I wonder what she was dreaming about!

Dear Lost,

When we watch you (the Season Premiere) PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make sense and GO somewhere! Jeff has forgotten why he likes you and I just don’t know if I can take anymore of this confusing mess!

Love, Jeff and Beth

So, here’s a picture of cute Logan sitting in one of his favorite spots, the entertainment unit.

But other than the incredibly handsome boy, does anybody see what else I see?

Fingerprints.

Endless. Fingerprints.

Thank you Lindsay and Logan for reminding me that I still haven’t cleaned the TV and probably won’t get around to it for awhile because
a) It makes me a little nervous to clean the screen of a very big, very expensive TV. I’m scared that I might ruin it! and
b) because you both keep me so busy!

I LOVE YOU BOTH!!!

Here’s to endless fingerprints! CHEERS!

My friend Katie had probably THE CUTEST birthday party ever on Saturday. Her little girl Emily had a Tinkerbell party and Katie, the wonderful mom that she is, made tutus and wings for every single girl. She called a couple weeks in advance and asked me who Lindsay’s favorite fairy was and she had said Silvermist so she made her a blue tutu and wings. On her front door, she had a sign that said Welcome to Pixie Hollow and when Lindsay walked through the door, Emily was there to put pixie dust on her head so that she could fly! It was just gold glitter but so cute! On the wall she had made a huge tree and there were flowers all over the walls and little sections to represent each fairy. It was amazing! Each girl got a little wand and Lindsay had such a fun time! We have played Tinkerbell everyday since and it’s been a lot of fun! Here she is in her cute tutu and wings. Thanks Katie for having such a creative mind and working so hard on everything! You rock!
