When I was going through old posts the other day, I saw how much I wrote about little things Lindsay was doing at the time, and I realized how much I don’t do that with Logan. So, here is one for him.

-Logan is 22 months old now and I can’t believe that in 2 short months he will be 2!! Yesterday we were all hanging out upstairs coloring and I decided to see how many letters he knew. One by one, I wrote each letter and asked him what they were and he knows 12 of them! He knows A, B, C, G, J,K,L, N,O,P,S and T. He does know all of the letters in his name and can spell it out to you if you ask him (if he feels like it, that is). Grandma Snider is great at finding songs that go along with your names. Lindsay’s name can be sung to the ABC song and Logan’s name can be sung to the BINGO song. So, during Christmas break, we sang Logan’s name A LOT and he seemed to have picked it up!
-He has started to say his own name instead of just laughing when you asked him what his name was. I do miss that though and wish he had gotten it on video. Heck, maybe we did! I can’t remember anything anymore, which is why I’m writing this stuff down!
-Logan can count to ten, can say twelve, and then after that it’s ‘turteen, turteen, turteen’ over and over again. So cute!!
-He knows the shapes circle, square, triangle, star and heart. He has really gotten into puzzles lately and the shapes one is one of his favorites! The rectangle shape has a picture of a truck on it, so all he sees is the truck, not a rectangle.
-He knows the colors yellow, white, red, purple and orange. Whenever you ask him what color something is his first response is always yellow, but when you ask him again he’ll usually get it right.
-Logan talks A LOT and I sometimes feel like he talks more at this age than Lindsay did, but I don’t really remember. He’s at that age when they repeat everything you say and it’s so much fun to hear him talking. He calls Lindsay “see-see” and it’s very similar to the way Lindsay said her own name when she was his age. Some of the other words he says are ‘waney’ for Laney, ‘no-nan’ for Logan, ‘doh’ for go, ‘bid tar’ for big car, ‘Nana’ for Hannah and banana, ‘mon” for come one, ‘mere’ for come here and ‘ta tom” for thank you. He calls Grandma and Grandpa ‘mama and papa’ just like Lindsay did. How does he know? He says many, many more words!
-Some of Logan’s favorite phrases right now are: “NO!”, “Mommy do it.”, “Where see-see doh?”, “A bue tues?” (A blue’s clues?)

Logan is such a sweet boy and has now had his blankie for over a year now. It seems like a lot longer than that, just because it can cause problems at times, but overall I’m glad he loves it. He CAN be a handful at times and try my patience but then he turns around and gives the best hugs! I love both my kids so much and I’m so glad that they are so different. It makes life more interesting, and harder at times, but they definitely keep me on my toes.
