Today was the annual Digicert snowmobiling trip up out in Midway, which is right by Heber. It’s beautiful up there and it’s such a cute, little town. Jeffy and I always say we’re going to move there every time we go there. (Don’t worry Mimi!) It just has such a good feeling about it. Anyway, Auntie Laura came and watched the kids for us and we had a really nice time together. I was a little bit nervous this year because last year I went off a jump and got thrown off the ski-doo and was in LOTS of pain for a couple of days. I knew that once we got started I would be fine, but it actually took me a lot longer that I had expected to feel comfortable on it. For the first 10-15 minutes, I was actively scared but then once I got the hang of leaning while turning and all that stuff again, I was just fine. We were out for about 3 hours and I wished we could have stayed out longer, because I felt like I was just getting to the point where I wasn’t scared at all anymore, and then it was time to leave. Oh well. I still had a great time and there is always next year! Afterwards, we had some time to shower and relax and then we had a really nice dinner there at the Homestead.

I love the company Jeffy works for, Digicert. They genuinely care for their employees and are always treating them with wonderful experiences to thank them for all of the hard work they do to help the company move forward. Thank you Digicert! We are so grateful to you (and for you)!

Jeffy and I on our ski-doos sporting our sexy jumpsuits!

Me on my ski-doo on the side of a mountain. I was still a little nervous at this point.

Us and the Heber Valley behind us. Gorgeous.

Another shot of Heber Valley, taken at the top of the mountain. I think the guy said it was 8,840 feet up.

Us taking a break at the top of the mountain. I’m seriously buying myself a pair of these goggles to wear as sunglasses…

Everyone that came.

So, the other night when I was scanning all of these pictures, I found my old scrapbook from when we were first married and stuff and I found all these love notes that Jeffy and I wrote to each other. They are so lovey dovey, but honestly, I’m the LUCKIEST girl!! Jeffy says the most sweetest things and sometimes I STILL (after 5 1/2 years) have to pinch myself to make sure this isn’t just a dream. Most of these were written while we were in class at BYU, ya know, not paying attention.

You’re all so lucky you get to read these. When I told Jeffy I was going to put these on the blog he said, Okay, you can put them on as long as you understand that every woman who reads them is going to fall in love with me. HAHA. Always a joker, that one. :) But he’s MY joker, ladies! :)

We were so poor our first Christmas together and we couldn’t afford to get each other anything, but I wanted to give him something, so I got him a card.

I almost forgot to share this beauty:

This was just a couple of weeks before our wedding and we were just hanging out with my roommate Sherri and we thought it would be fun to do a mask. I love that Jeffy will do these things with me!

Here’s some more pictures.

The two of us at a BYU football game.

Us on the way home. Don’t you love how newlyweds have A LOT of pictures like this?

Our totally rockin’ first apartment. It was a basement apartment, 1500 square feet, orange shag carpet and paneled walls. Seriously. I don’t know why we moved.

Oh goodness…I guess we thought it was “cute” that I was wearing Jeffy’s shoes. Newlyweds are so weird.

Our second car as a married couple. Our car died on Halloween and his parents bought us this 1994 Corolla which we ended up getting stranded in on the side of the highway in Barstow, CA on our way to his parents house for Thanksgiving. Good times!

HAHA!!

More sillyness…

Jeffy used to have such long, luscious locks…

Okay, that’s all for this post…

A lot of my friends on Facebook have been putting up pictures from the good ‘ol days and it made me realize that we had some pictures from when we were engaged and first married that weren’t on the computer. So, I scanned them and had a fun night reminiscing about the summer Jeffy and I fell in love and were engaged and the first few months we were married. Some of them are pretty funny. Welcome back to the summer of 2003!

On a mini road trip to Southern Utah to drop off my roommate at her dig for her archeology major. We refer to Jeff’s hairstyle as his “skunk hair”. We sure thought it looked cool…

Me in my less mature days….

The fourth of July. Aren’t Jeffy’s sideburns KILLER?

This is what Logan did yesterday:

YIKES.

We had so much fun watching the kids jump off the couch yesterday that we did it again tonight. Laney was there this time and so he was taking pictures and some of them are great action shots! Any of you are welcome to come over anytime and join us. :) Jumping on the couches, or I should say off, is totally okay at our house.

The kids and I decided to do something extra special for Jeffy today. He’s been having a hard time with having to be at work all day and missing the kids and we miss him during the day. After anything exciting happens, they both STILL say, “I wanna go show daddy!” I hate having to remind them that he’s at the office. I guess it’s still an adjustment for all of us. Anyway, so for Valentine’s Day I had planned for Lindsay to write little love notes to her daddy and leave them places where he would find them but I just never got around it, so I decided to do that today. So, she wrote “We love you daddy” on about 8 strips of paper and we put them around the house in places that he would find them. But when it came down to it, Lindsay just ended up taking him and showing him where they all were. Too cute. Some places we put them were:

On his pillow

On the potty (because Jeffy pees a lot from all the water he drinks!!)

On Elvis in the stairway

..and some other places were on his chair at the table, on his mirror in our bathroom and on a random wall.
While Lindsay wrote all those strips of paper, I printed the letters to write “we love you daddy” (with Jeffy’s totally awesome printer) and we taped them to the garage door so that he would see it when he got home.

I had to call him to tell him to call me when he was getting closer, because I wanted the kids to be out there when he got home. So, they stood under the sign and were so happy to see him when he got home and of course Jeffy loved it! We appreciate all the hard work Jeffy does for our family. He’s a wonderful husband and father and the three of us are so blessed to have him in our lives. We love you Jeffy!!!

We had a pretty fun family night tonight. We didn’t have any sort of lesson because I’m too busy being all domestic (I’ve cooked dinner A LOT lately! It’s weird!!). Anyway, so we ate the yummy beef stew I made (seriously, I rock) and while us adults were still eating, the kids were running around and the next thing we knew Logan was screaming and had a bloody lip.

(It’s a little hard to see, but two of his top teeth just sliced his bottom lip.)

My guess is that they were chasing each other and Lindsay went to grab Logan and accidentally ended up pushing him instead. Poor dude and poor girl because I think she had a harder time with it than he did. She was so sweet and kept asking if it would feel better soon and I reassured her that it would be bruised for a day or two but that it wouldn’t hurt him too bad. Then it was back to running. No harm done.
Then they decided it was time to jump on the couch cushions. I LOVE my big couches but sometimes I get annoyed with them when all of the cushions are constantly on the floor, because sometimes they just get in the way of being comfortable. It’s weird. But the one thing that I do love about them is that they CAN come off for a good old round of jumping fun! (I like when they are on the floor for a purpose, not just because they were in the way….) They are both pretty daring and Logan still thinks he can do anything Lindsay can and it’s fun to watch. Here’s a video.

You know your kids are having fun when the playroom looks like this:

It makes me smile. :)
