This is mostly a post to jot some things down that I want to remember later on. Logan will be 2 in 4 weeks and can already sing the ABC song. He loves the magnet thing with the letters and will take the magnets from the fridge and move them into the family room on top of the DVR thing, all the while singing the ABC song. It’s too cute. I love listening to him when he doesn’t know I am. But maybe the best part about it, is watching Lindsay listening to him as well. She gets a big, big smile on her face and we look at each other and smile and then she’ll whisper to me, “Mommy, Logy’s singing it all by himself!” Yes, yes he is! I love that she gets excited about the new things he’s doing. Logan is a rambunctious boy but also very sweet and I love getting him up in the morning and from his naps because he just curls up with his blankie and lays his head down on my shoulder. I always stop in front of the mirror in the bathroom to remember how he looks in my arms and to remember the way he feels and smells because someday he’ll be all grown up. I love how crazy independent he can be. The other night for dinner, he wanted some salad and yelled, “Salad! I do it! I do it! I do it!” until we gave him the bowl so he could dish his own salad up. “I do it” is his new favorite phrase. I love how he loves to open doors for people and again, yells “I do it!” all the way to the door. I love how he has to have both his crib music player and his cd player on to read books before bed. I love how he loves to dance. He’s got a constant rhythm going on, even if there isn’t any music playing. I love how he says “you’re welcome” for “thank you”. I love how much he loves the television remote.
I love watching Lindsay read. I still can’t believe she can actually do that and I just love to watch her cute little face as she’s reading. You can just see the magic working inside her cute little brain. I love that when she sees the word “there’s” she says “there is”, or “I’m” she says “I am”. How does she know that?? I love how attached Lindsay is to her “little kitty”. She’s had him since she was about 9 months old and it’s always been a favorite, but lately she’s grown very fond of him/her (not really sure). She sleeps with her (I think it is a girl) and always brings her out of her room in the morning and I always get hugs and kisses from her and from little kitty. Lindsay loves to pretend to be a kitty, doggy or horse. I love that whenever she pretends, it’s always someone’s birthday and whatever age they are turning, that’s how many presents they get. I love how obsessed she is with writing letters to Santa…still. I love the way she talks to Logan when she’s being motherly, asking him if he needs help or to not do something. It’s too cute. I love how much she loves me. I sometimes get frustrated when she won’t just go and play, but deep down inside I know it’s just because she wants to be with me.
I love my kiddos!
