Jeff, Beth, Lindsay, and Logan Snider

Archive for April, 2009 Monthly Archives

My friends told me about this cute blog (http://shedoeshair.blogspot.com/search/label/Braids) that has all sorts of hair ideas. I of course found this months after I chopped Lindsay’s hair off, so I’ve had to wait a little while for it to grow out to try some of it. I decided that it’s long enough so I tried one out the other day and it turned out really cute. But honestly, what won’t look cute on her? :)

We took a video of Lindsay reading a verse of scripture and we’re going to have Jeff’s aunt (who is a school teacher) tell us at what grade level she is reading at. We’re mostly just curious. :)

I know, I know, it’s about time, right? :)

Well, I’d like to announce… drum roll, please…

…that I wasn’t sore AT ALL from the exercise class yesterday! PSYCH!!

But really, those of you who go to this class know just how HARD it can be and just how SORE you can be, even just hours after wards. So, when I woke up this morning feeling GREAT, I was shocked. But I have to admit I was a little nervous at first because I thought maybe I didn’t work hard enough, but things like this should get easier after awhile and so maybe after three months, I’ve finally gotten to that point. Yay me! I even jogged instead of walked for the warm-up and I felt great the whole time. I LOVE living an active lifestyle! LOVE IT! Thank you Sarah for taking the time to plan this class for us. You are awesome!

(Sorry grandma’s for the mean joke…MAYBE someday it will be for real.)

We had a fun Easter weekend. We colored eggs on Saturday evening, had an egg hunt and then the Easter Bunny came Sunday morning and brought the kids A LOT of candy and some other fun things.

The kids with their new things. Logan got a big frog, a new tractor train book and a little car. Lindsay got a big lamb, a bunny book with a moon that lights up, and a Tinkerbell wand with lip gloss. As you can see, it didn’t take Logan too long to dig into the chocolate. :)

Me and my beautiful kids before church. Jeff had to go a little early so he took the kids with him so that I could get ready, hence the part about me still being in my jammies.

We had a very relaxing Sunday. Logan took a nap in two different places…
…first with Laney…

…then with Jeffy. It was so cute!

He was sleeping with Laney and out of nowhere he wakes up crying, pointing at the floor and saying, “EGG!” He got off of the couch and seemed like he was looking for an egg but then somehow made it over to Jeffy (who HAD been sleeping on the floor before this rude awakening) and fell back asleep.
While the boys slept, Lindsay and I duked it out on the Wii. We played some baseball, Tennis (which she has a WICKED FAST serve!), pool, and fishing. She LOVES the Wii and has a lot of fun with it.

Then we went for a walk, talked with friends for a few hours and then went to bed. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

While we were in Texas, my dad took some pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits and man oh man, they are cute!

Thanks Grandpa!

Coloring eggs this year almost gave me a heart attack. My sweet little Logan is such a spazz and when he’s excited he’s ten times more spastic! My hand has been blue for a couple of hours because he got so excited about putting an egg in the blue water, that he just dropped it in and the water spilled over the side, right onto my hand. But it’s all okay, because I thought ahead and had Jeffy get an old vinyl tablecloth to lay on the table and boy was I glad we did. We were wiping up spilled colored water left and right! But the kids had fun and really we both did too, but man, the things you go through for memories!!

The finished products!

(I just noticed that in a lot of these pictures, my kids look they’ve been drinking the colored water…what’s up with their eyes?)

Isnt’ it awesome!?

It wasn’t really a weekend, now that I think about it. Emily and Spencer went down to Bryce for a few days so we got to have cute Ashlee at our house while they were gone. The kids had a lot of fun and by Wednesday, I think I was getting used to having three kids in the house. :) Ashlee is darling and has such a vivid imagination! The kids had a lot of fun playing with my exercise ball and trying to lift it above their heads.

Then they would drop it and laugh hysterically if it hit one of them in the head.
They had breakfast on the bar the first morning, and there was too much spilled milk that we didn’t do that again. But aren’t they cute?

It was a lot of fun having Ashlee stay with us. Thanks Ashlee!

We were invited to a fun little scavenger hunt birthday party (for adults) a couple of weeks ago and we were given a list of items to find, and we needed to get a picture of each item with one of the people in our team with it. Each item was worth a different number of points, depending on the difficulty. The first one on the list was “A picture in front of Wendys”. Okay, well, we only had like an hour and then some to get this done, so we didn’t have time to drive there and back. But luckily, I am married to Jeffy, who is one who thinks ‘outside’ the box. So, he suggested we get two ladies in our ward named Wendy and get a picture in front of them. Get it? Well, we got a hold of Wendy Sorensen and asked her if she wanted to help us and she’s totally awesome and of course said yes. So, she followed us over to our neighbors house to see if Wendy Ivey was home. She wasn’t so we went over to Wendy Johnson’s home and she wasn’t home either. Oh no! But wait…what if we took a picture of Wendy Sorensen, pointing to a picture of Wendy Johnson and stood in front of them? We did and it worked!!

We smoked the competition in the hunt and took first place. It was a good time!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but every once and awhile, I REALLY enjoy doing absolutely nothing. I’m a busy body so this doesn’t suit me most of the time, but I can just kick back if the situation merits it. A couple of weeks ago on a Friday, we had gone to Lindsay’s gymnastics, had a fun, active lunch at McDonald’s and driven for like 10 hours there and back, so when we got home, we were all exhausted. So, we popped in a movie and lounged on the couch. This is how Logan felt:

Killer on the neck! He wasn’t too happy when he woke up so I laid him down and he fell right back asleep. Lindsay on the other hand, is a lot like me and can be a busy body sometimes, and she wasn’t as excited to just kick back like Logan and I were. She watched most of the movie sitting with me and then she wanted to get up and dance. See?

She’s such a cutie. She danced for a few minutes and then was content enough to come sit back down and we settled down with a blanket and some goldfish. It was a good afternoon.
