Lindsay LOVES to write letters to everyone and anyone. She adores her older cousin Emmy and decided to write her a letter the other day. She wrote it all by herself!

It always takes awhile to write them because she is so easily distracted, but I think she did really well! She didn’t know how to spell October, write, or grandma, but the rest she sounded out by herself. When I was helping her spell out grandma, we got to the letter d and she turned to me and said,

“There’s no d sound in grandma!”

She’s so right! Or, maybe we all don’t pronounce it right. I demand a new spelling of that word!

For whatever reason, she has started writing some of her letters backwards. I remember being in Kindergarten and writing my number two’s backwards on purpose so that my teacher would spend more time with me. And back then there was only like 20 kids in a class. Poor kids these days. So, I don’t know. There was also a picture that went along with the letter, but I didn’t take a picture of it. It was a drawing of Lindsay, with hair to her shoulder, and a picture of Emmy, with hair to the ground. Too funny. She can’t wait to get a letter back from Emmy!
