Tonight was my RS Christmas program and normally I don’t need to take the kids with me to these things because Jeff is home. But tonight he had to meet with the electrician who is going to do some work on our new house and Laura wasn’t home from work yet so the kids came with me to Enrichment and hung out in the children’s class. It was a wonderful evening filled with beautiful music about the story of Christ’s birth. After wards when I was picking them up, we were walking down the hallway to the car and that’s when Lindsay informed me that while I was gone, Logan had to go potty and she took him.
A hundred things went though my mind at that moment.
I’m glad she took him and not one of the men that was working the children’s class, not because I don’t trust them, but I can’t imagine Logan would have let any of them help him.
He never really lets her help him at home so I’m surprised he let her at church, but then again, I’m always at home.
It made me giggle to think of the two of them trying to pull up his pants. Hehe.
I know my kids are tall, but Lindsay still can’t reach the soap dispenser in those bathrooms, so there must have been some tricky maneuver to get the soap. Either that or they didn’t wash his hands.
But the thing that stuck out the most to me was how proud she was of herself. I’m sure that made her feel like such a big person, taking him to the potty all by herself. And it WAS a big person thing! I’m proud of her, too. They love each other so much and I love that they do. She’s starting to look out more for him and it’s so cute. Cute big-sister moment, right?

2They are pretty much the sweetest kids ever, tied only with Emmy. Their new fun game is to come knock on my bedroom door and when I open it, they yell “BOO!” and scare me and then give me big hugs until we all fall over together. So cute.
