Logan got to participate in Itty Bitty Ball this year and he seemed to really enjoy it. There were only 4 classes and he missed two of them (all because his mommy wasn’t thinking when she signed him up) but he had fun the other two times. Grandma and Laura took him the first time and he eventually warmed up to the idea and they learned about soccer. I took him for his last class and we learned all about football. It was so fun to watch him be part of this big fun group and he had a lot of fun! There were about 7 or 8 different color teams and they would move around to different stations during the class.
Here he is holding his team banner.
Hiking the ball.
Listening to instructions.
Running with the ball.
Getting ready to play flag football, which consisted of one boy running in a tiny circle with the ball while the other boys chased him and tried to pull his flag off. Pretty entertaining! Logan was SO determined to get his flag and never gave up.
Not sure what he’s doing here but it’s a funny picture.
Throwing the football through the hoop. He was pretty good at this!
Kicking the ball. He was REALLY good at this.
Doing a cheer for his team, the Elephants.
A happy boy with his Itty Bitty Ball certificate.
I would highly recommend Itty Bitty Ball to those of you with little people, especially boys. It was so fun!

The girl is always finding new things to do and here’s her new one.
She got about a foot taller the next try. She’s such a monkey!

The next day after we got back from St. Thomas (actually the same day because we didn’t get home from the airport until 2:30am) we packed the kids up and got right back on the plane and flew to my parents house in good ol’ P-Town. We hadn’t been to their house in over a year so it was definitely time to go. AND we hadn’t been in the summer since Lindsay was a baby so we hadn’t gotten to swim in their pool in a really long time. One word can describe our time there: SUPER!!! My sister and her cute little family came for about 4 days while we were there and it was so much fun to spend time with them. I have some of the cutest nephews out there! Ben is 2 1/2 and William is 4 months and they were so much fun to be around. We hadn’t met baby William yet and he’s at that really fun age where they discover a lot of things. He was smiling a ton, laughing and finding his toes, which is one of my favorites that babies discover. I love to see a cute little baby grabbing their toes! I mean, seriously, just look at him!
Lindsay LOVED to hold him and play with him and I have to admit, seeing her with him really made it hard not to want another baby. So, I try not to think about it very much. ![]()
Ben and Logan got along better this time and Ben even let Logan look at him! Hooray! I really thought they got along great and they even gave each other a hug when they were leaving and it was about the cutest thing ever. I wish I had gotten a picture of it.
We did a lot of hanging out, swimming and playing games while they were there with us. One day we went to a little petting zoo farm and it was a fun time. It was hot because hello, it’s Plano in June, but the kids ended up having a lot of fun. We got to feed some goats and one of those goats was a pushy little thing and was trying to hoard all of the food, so we tried our hardest to let the little ones have some food, too.
We got to go on a tractor pulled hayride and Logan, if you can imagine, LOVED it!
They had some cute ponies on this farm and Lindsay automatically fell in love with them. She really loves horses and wants to take riding lessons.
The kids went on a barrel ride. It was just the two of them and they each had a little blow horn. At first, Lindsay had the blue one and Logan had the pink one and at the same time, they both wanted to switch. It was cute.
We took some time to rest in the shade and Uncle Danny let the kids play a game on his iPod Touch that Lindsay really likes called Doodle Destroy. I just thought they were cute all playing together.
We were going to take the kids to Six Flags one day while we were there, but Jeff and I were seriously exhausted and with Jeff’s leg, my ankles and the heat we decided not to go. So, we thought we would try ice skating. OMG! It was the worst idea we have ever had. Lindsay has been wanting to go so bad so we went and we lasted about 5 minutes. Logan loved the ice for about 10 seconds and wanted to get off and Lindsay lasted about 10 minutes until we both fell down hard and for a long time because we couldn’t get up and then she was done. There were lots of tears involved but it’s going to be one of those memories that we will laugh at later in life. In fact, we were laughing about it by the time we were putting our shoes back on. Too funny!
Here they are happy and excited!
Still happy…
This was Logan’s second try and seconds before he was REALLY done.
After the ice skating, we let them have a ride on the carousel to cheer them up. It worked.
More random pictures from our time there.
Doesn’t Lindsay look 16 in this picture?
We love you Grandma and Grandpa and can’t wait for you to come for Christmas! Mah!

Jeffy and I were lucky enough to go on a 9 day trip to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. It was for a management trip for his work and it was beyond amazing! It was so nice to get away from everything for a little while and just be together. We took like 200 pictures or something so I don’t want to make this post too long, so I will just highlight some things and then you can go to our picasa page and look at the rest if you want to.
We left on a red eye flight from Salt Lake on Friday, June 4th and got to our hotel in St. Thomas at about 2:00 p.m., after driving in our rental car on the wrong side of the road, which is what they do there. It’s amazing to me how weird that feels. I was constantly thinking we were in the wrong and panicking for split seconds at a time and then remembering we were okay. When we got to our hotel, we took like a half an hour nap and then went down to the beach to take in sight of St. Thomas. It was beautiful! I sometimes get frustrated trying to explain something as beautiful as this because I don’t feel like there are any right words to describe it and give it justice, but I mean look!
BEAUTIFUL! This was our view from our hotel room. Not too bad, right?
On our way to the pool one day, one of these ran right in front of me and scared me to death.
They had some sort of preserve in the middle of this resort and when you walked by it in the morning, you could easily see about 20 of these babies hanging around. I got used to them after a few days and stopped being surprised by them. They would wander all over the resort, even around the pool and pool chairs. Kind of cool!
Okay, here’s some pictures.
The pool with the ocean in the background.
Me getting ready to lounge by the pool and read my book. We did a lot of this and it was heavenly.
The fish that would swim around you in the ocean. Creepy but fun!
Out on a paddle boat.
This is what I did to my ankles on the second day of our trip. I was running up some marble steps, with jagged edges, in my flip flops and tripped and cut the crap out of my ankles. They hurt for the rest of the trip, but I didn’t let that stop me from having fun!
Dinner with Niki and Flavio. We’re lucky that our best friends got to be there with us. I think it made it more fun!

Underwater pictures! This was one of my favorite evenings of the whole trip! (Sorry Niki! I just have to!)
hahaha!
Flavio is the only person I know that can look that normal under water.
I seriously cannot look at these pictures without peeing my pants!
Brandi, Travis and Annie
Jeffy’s boss, Ken
The cute little cake that Sue got me from the restaurant there at the hotel. It was so yummy!
My birthday was amazing! We went out on a catamaran boat, the Lady Lynsey, all day long and went snorkeling, over to the British Virgin Islands to a place called Foxy’s for lunch, lounging on the boat, swimming, and hanging with friends. A person couldn’t ask for more on their birthday!
Paul, Jeff, Flavio, Ken holding Chris. They are all so fun!

They call this Two Butt Beach because it’s only big enough for two butts. I liked it.
This was Foxy. He was singing funny songs on his guitar while we were there, including a song about me and how funny it was that I was holding my flip flops in my hands and that the next time he saw me I’d probably be wearing gloves on my feet.
Foxy’s had all these t-shirts and flags hung up everywhere, so we decided to leave one of our Digishirts there and we all signed it. Pretty cool.
This was a pretty beach we just stopped at to swim called White Bay. It was beautiful as you can see. There was a bar there but we didn’t bother with that.
Yeah, we buried Jeff in the sand.
Birthday dinner at Amigos. It was really, really yummy and a lot of fun!

We went to a carnival one night down at Iggie’s and it was a blast!
A cool sign saying how far away everything is.
One day we went on a kayaking adventure and it was amazing! I could really get into kayaking. It’s hard work but at the same time so relaxing. We saw so many beautiful sights and learned so many things and got to go snorkeling again.
We came to this place where all this dead, washed up coral was and it was amazing. They get hard like rocks but still have the same kind of look as when they’re alive.
A sea star.
We stopped and had lunch at a place where there were hundreds of hermit crabs around. They told us to not throw any of our food away, just to throw it on the ground and the hermit crabs would come running for it, and run they did! It was amazing! They ate everything we had: banana peels, apple cores, lunch meat, Doritos. We only got a picture of one of the crabs, but just imagine hundreds of them. It was so neat!
And what’s a trip in St. Thomas for me without hurting myself again! Right as we left to go on our nature walk, I cut my toe on a branch that was sticking out of the ground. And then later, I ended up cutting it again in the same spot and making it a little bit bigger. I’m so awesome.
On our nature walk. Absolutely beautiful!
Standing inside some super old rocks, like 100 something million years old. They looked like those marble brownies!
Another picture of the marble brownie rocks and my beat up feet.
We went snorkeling twice on this kayaking tour and the second time we saw a ton of fish around a part of a sunken ship. We also saw a sea turtle. It was really neat!
I think he looks like Crush.
We went para-sailing and it was a total blast! We ended up losing our water proof digital camera right after we went para-sailing so we lost the pictures we took of ourselves up in the air, but luckily Niki had her camera and took some pictures of us. It was so much fun!

Before we left, Niki took some great pictures of us. Thanks again Niki for taking these!

The day we left was a Sunday and we were able to go to sacrament meeting there at the branch in St. Thomas. It was in a cute little building on a road called Church Hill. It was literally on Church Hill, a steep hill with churches along both sides of the road. There were probably only 30-40 people there and sacrament ended a half an hour early. I could get used to that.
I love that the church is the same no matter where you go!
We had an absolute blast spending that week together and we had some amazing experiences. I can’t wait to get away with you again, Jeffy! I love you so much! Thank you so much Digicert for giving us this wonderful opportunity!
(I totally made a liar out of myself because this post was incredibly LONG!)

Yesterday was one of those days. You know, the ones when your child does something that let’s you know they aren’t babies anymore and that they really are growing up. As mothers, I think we dread them because we always want to hold on to that little piece of baby as much as possible.
My little Logan can say his S’s now.
No more “melling” (smelling). “What that mell?”
No more “niffing” (sniffing). “I can’t mell if I’m not niffing!”
No more “nood” (Snood). “Dwanma, can I play nood?”
I’ve never hated the letter S so much as I do today.

Lindsay has been a busy girl! The week before we left for St. Thomas was INSANE! We had so many things to do and accomplish before that, and one of them was her dance recital the night we left. It started at 7pm and we needed to leave for the airport at 9pm, which meant that we had to be ready to go before that and prepare ourselves with the idea that we might have to say our goodbyes at the recital. Thank goodness we didn’t have to do that and her two dances were over by 8 o’clock. They put on a cute little Peter Pan recital and Lindsay’s class were stars. She did an amazing job and you could tell that she worked really hard trying to memorize the steps. They were the very first number and they danced to this song:
SO CUTE!!!
After the Peter Pan production, then each class did a dance on their own and her class danced to “Buttercup”. For the Star song she wore her ballet shoes, and for the Buttercup song she wore her tap shoes. It was all very cute and she loved being up on the stage. She can be really shy sometimes, but when she’s with others I don’t think it’s as hard for her. She looked beautiful in her little yellow costume and she did tell me she felt like a princess. Way to go, Lindsay!

We had the camera her second game so here are some pictures of her playing. Her hair was a little bit curly because she had her dance rehearsal that morning. I thought she looked super cute all dolled up but wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
I love her stance!
Logan took this picture. Look at that smile!
Waiting for her turn to bat standing in front of those gorgeous mountains!

Lindsay had her first T-ball game June 1st. A bunch of 4 and 5 year olds trying to play baseball is seriously the best entertainment EVER! They all look so cute in their little shirts and helmets and hitting the ball with their little bats. Her team name is the Dinosaurs and she was really excited they picked it because that was her suggestion. Lindsay did great and had a really fun time and I’m so glad because we have two games a week for the whole month of June. The hat she was wearing is too big on her so we ended up taking it off, but she did look so cute with the hat on the way it was. She took the game seriously when she was playing catcher and crouched down and everything. How does she know that that’s what a catcher does? I mean, we watch a lot of baseball around here, but I just don’t think of either of them paying that much attention to things like that, but I guess she does, at least. Towards the end of the game and when her team was in the outfield, she was being another little coach and helping the kids know where to run. She’s so motherly and I love it. It was a blast! Way to go Lindsay!
I couldn’t find the camera before the game so all I had was the video camera.
Lindsay warming up before the game. She by far has the best arm on the team. She’s the only one that can throw from first base all the way to home, and have the ball going in the right direction.
Lindsay being catcher
Her first at bat.
Her second at bat.
She’s played in a few more games since then and they’ve been very fun and she’s been enjoying it. Yay for T-Ball!

We went to see Thomas again this year and just like last year, it was cold! It wasn’t too bad when we got there, but by the time the train ride was over, I was freezing. So because of that, we didn’t stay nearly as long as last year, but the kids still had fun and riding on a train is always enjoyable. We did the hay maze and talked with some old friends and got some animal balloons. The ride on the train is always so fun because we have beautiful scenery to look at and every time we go I’m always so grateful to live in such a beautiful place. Maybe someday we’ll have a vacation home down in Midway. Haha…maybe someday.

Last week the kids had their Show Week at gymnastics and they both did an excellent job! We’ll start with Lindsay.
She did a really good job, although she was kind of goofing off during her routines so she probably could have done a better job if she had been concentrating harder. She’s such an entertainer sometimes. She has been practicing her handstands for weeks now, every chance she gets, and she has gotten VERY good at them. I’m so proud of her for practicing so hard. She really enjoys gymnastics. She memorized her floor routine so she didn’t need any help there and I think her favorite is still the bars. Here are her videos.
This was Logan’s very first Show Week and he was a little shy and never wanted to go, but then Miss Mel asked him if he wanted to go last and that seemed to work. Some kids like being first, and usually he does, but he was okay with being last that day. He did a wonderful job! He memorized the floor routine and never needed help on what to do, which was very impressive because it’s a lot to memorize for a three year old. On his beam routine, he didn’t do most of what he was supposed to, but by golly, he can walk on that beam!
They are both so fun to watch in gymnastics and they both love it so much. Thanks Little Gym for making gymnastics super FUN!
In this last video, you can see how Logan can sometimes be. If Logan don’t want to do it, Logan ain’t gonna do it. It’s cute. Sometimes.
