That’s what Lindsay said to us during her soccer game when we told her not to be scared to kick the ball away from the other team’s players. She’s so stinkin’ sweet!

She had her first soccer game on Saturday, and as with most things involving 4-5 year olds, there was plenty of good entertainment. Like I said before she was a little nervous about kicking the ball away from the other kids, but once we explained to her that it’s okay and part of the game, she was better at getting in the big mob of kids surrounding the ball and going for it. It sure was easy to spot Lindsay in that big mob because she was at least a head taller than everyone else, minus one kid, on her team. There had to be some kids on her team that are just barely 4, and she’s almost 6, so that explains some of it. Tall genes explain the rest.

They don’t keep score in this league, but her team totally won 3-1. She didn’t make any of those goals, but she did help get the ball down to their goal each time and then someone else would kick it in. Good teamwork! After each goal she would do a cute little victory dance and have a huge smile on her face. Her coach is awesome and is really good and giving them positive feedback, unlike the other team’s coaches, who would be very obviously upset if their kids kicked it the wrong way or missed a goal. There were two of them and one of them had a whistle around his neck. Dude, they’re 4 and 5, you’re taking it TOO seriously. Anway, here’s some pictures.

A cheesy before game smile. OMG little people shinguard’s are so cute!

Warming up.

The OTHER team and their too much seriousness.

This is what Logan thinks about soccer, especially when mommy forgets to bring any trucks for him to play with. He took this himself. Love those big eyes!

She played goalie for the first 10 minutes and did a good job stopping two goal attempts, even though she’s not paying attention in this picture. :) The jersey she was wearing was awesome!

Taking a timeout to wiggle her barely-loose tooth. She really wants that baby to fall out, like yesterday.

She looks like she’s checking her heartbeat in this one. She never seemed to be in danger…

Victory dance!
